CHC30208 CERTIFICATE III IN AGED CARE
(Nationally Recognised Training)
At this level individuals work in residential facilities under direct or regular supervision with clearly defined organizational guidelines and service plans.

Who can enroll?
This training is especially suitable for people who:
• Are currently working as aged care workers or who aim to work as aged care workers or who want to build on a Certificate II qualification.
• Anyone who is willing to build their career in Aged Care industry
• International students who would want to work part time job during their studies here in Australia

What will you learn?
CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care requires the completion of 14 units of competence consisting of 10 core units and 4 elective units.

• CHCAC317A Support older people to maintain their independence
• CHCAC318A Work effectively with older people
• CHCAC319A Provide support to people living with dementia
• CHCCS411A Work effectively in the community sector
• CHCICS301A Provide support to meet personal care needs
• CHCICS302A Participate in the implementation of individualized plans
• CHCOHS312A Follow safety procedures for direct care work
• CHCPA301B Deliver care services using a palliative approach
• HLTAP301A Recognise healthy body systems in a health care context
Elective Units
• CHCCS311C Deliver and monitor services to clients
• HLTHIR403B Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers
• CHCCS400A Work within a relevant legal and ethical framework
• HLTFA301B Apply first aid

How will you be assessed?
Assessment for the above units of competency can include observations, written assessment, workplace project, group activities and group discussions.

Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer
Students can apply for recognition of previous study, work, life and educational experience that matches the units of competency or qualification being considered. Students applying for recognition of existing skills and knowledge must provide evidence to support their claim.
We also recognize the credentials issued by other training organization’s operating under the Australian Quality Training Framework.

Articulation opportunities: After you have completed Certificate III in Aged Care, you may enroll in Certificate IV in Aged Care or Certificate III in Disability.
